Catholic New Media Awards

Its never too early to get a head start on next year. We're currently taking suggestions for the 2010 Catholic New Media Awards and we want your input and your help.

If you've got a suggestion, we want to hear it. Please comment on this post with your suggestion on how to make the 2010 CNMAs better.

We've heard your feedback and next year we'll be adding a few more categories - especially categories for those of you Eastern Catholics who have requested it.

We're also looking for some individuals to step up an volunteer to help us. If you're interested, please comment here with your email address (don't worry, comments will only be seen by administrators)

Nominations for the 2009 Catholic New Media Awards are now closed. Please check back at 5:00 PM CDT for a complete list of the nominees and the categories they've been nominated in.

Voting will begin on June 1 at approximately 5:00 PM CDT.

As you are aware, nominations for the 2009 CNMA are currently underway. The nomination phase will end on May 25 at 5:00 CDT (That's Central Daylight Time) and soon after the nominees in all of the different categories will be displayed so that you can mull over all of the candidates for a few days. The voting phase will begin on June 1, 2009 at 5:00 CDT and last until June 30, 2009 at 5:00 CDT.

The winners of the 2009 CNMA will be announced during the week of July 4, 2009 on the catholicunderground.com podcast and will appear on this website shortly thereafter.

For those of you who have asked, nominations for the 2009 CNMA will begin today at 5:00 CDT.

ABBEVILLE, LA (APRIL 17, 2009) - cyberCatholics.com is proud to announce the all new 2009 Catholic New Media Awards.

The Catholic New Media Awards is the successor to the Catholic Blog Awards and will highlight others areas of Catholic New Media including Catholic Podcasts.

Nominations in this year's awards are scheduled to begin on May 1, 2009 with voting to begin on June 1, 2009.

Welcome to the newly launched site for the Catholic New Media Awards. Many of you are probably wondering What happened to the Catholic Blog Awards? The Blog Awards are still here but they've been transformed - these days new media is so much more than blogs - there are podcasts, VODcasts, and Catholic News Site.

In recognition of this fact the Catholic Blog Awards has decided to expand its horizon and give all of Catholic New Media the attention and recognition it deserves.

We are currently accepting your thoughts on what kinds of awards should be given - the category areas are currently in the realm of Blogs, PodCasts, VODcasts, and Catholic News Site and Catholic Web Sites. Please send us your suggestions to cnma@catholicnewmediaawards.com
